Welcome to IBDi, a digital support tool for individuals participating in a clinical study on Ulcerative Colitis (UC) self-management, conducted by Lunds Universitet and Region Skåne. By using the IBDi app, you agree to the following terms.
1. Eligibility
Access to the IBDi app is restricted to participants enrolled in the HULC clinical study, as approved by a healthcare provider. By using the app, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years or older
- You have provided informed consent
- You are participating under the supervision of a licensed physician
2. Purpose of the App
IBDi is designed to:
- Log symptoms using the SCCAI form
- Record home-based fecal calprotectin test results
- Track medication adherence
- Share relevant data with your clinical care team
The app is not a diagnostic or treatment tool. Always follow the advice of your healthcare provider.
3. Data Collection and Use
By using the app, you allow the collection and secure processing of data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. This includes:
- Email (required)
- Phone number (optional, for SMS reminders)
- Symptom and test data entered in the app
Data is processed solely for clinical and research purposes, under GDPR compliance.
4. Communication
The app may send:
- Email or SMS notifications (via Brevo)
- Reminders for medication, symptom logging, or testing
You can opt out of SMS reminders by contacting contact@ibdi.se.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and app design are the intellectual property of the IBDi project and its affiliated institutions. You may not reproduce or modify the app or its materials without prior permission.
6. Availability and Support
The IBDi app is provided “as is”, without guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or performance. Technical issues can be reported to contact@ibdi.se.
We may update, suspend, or discontinue app services at any time, particularly after the clinical study ends.
7. Termination of Access
Access to the app may be revoked if:
- You withdraw from the study
- Your participation is discontinued by your healthcare provider
- You violate these terms
Upon termination, your data may be deleted from the IBDi system, but clinical staff may retain necessary health data.
8. Disclaimer
The IBDi app is not a medical device. It is intended solely to support self-monitoring during the study and does not replace clinical judgment. Always consult your doctor before making decisions related to your treatment.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden and the applicable regulations for healthcare research within the European Union.
